1 Corinthians 2:2

For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

2 Corinthians 4:10-12

Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

Galatians 2:20

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Being led by the Lord in January 2007 Travis Bryan and Matthew Washington founded The Fellowship of the Cross Ministry.  The purpose of the ministry was simple, to reach people with the message of the cross.  A message that teaches us about the Love of God and the transforming power of the Love as demonstrated through the finished work of the Cross. 

Matthew and Travis met in May of 2006 during a Sunday school meeting at a church where Travis was sharing the gospel.  Matthew had not been to Church in about 2 years but as Travis was sharing the message a fire started burning in Matthew’s heart. And then began to understand clearly the message of the bible to a follower of Christ concerning the work of the cross in one’s life.  That’s how their relationship began and at some point both men knew God had brought them together for this purpose, to share the simple message of the finished work of the cross and how it relates the life of a follower of Jesus Christ. 

Travis and Matthew came to understand that the reason there is no life in the Church is because the message that is shared week after week is based solely on law and not grace.  Law produces death but grace produces life and that a true follower of Christ must understand the power of God unto salvation only comes through the finished work of Christ at the Cross.  A true follower of Christ must understand that we have been and will continue to be crucified with Christ.  A true follower of Christ must understand that we are bearing about in our body the dying of the Lord Jesus Christ so that the life of Jesus can be manifested in our mortal bodies.  A true follower of Christ must understand that death must work so life can spring forth.  A true follower of Christ must understand the Apostle Paul stated clearly that he was determined to know Christ and Him Crucified. 

The Lord has given the Fellowship of the Cross a clear message in these perilous times that we must be willing to embrace the Cross and if we are willing to embrace the Cross we will surely walk in newness of life.  Each follower of Christ has been called to walk the narrow (afflicted path) that our Savior walked and the Grace of God which is no less than the Power of God working in the heart is there to carry us through as we learn to depend totally on the Lord Jesus Christ and no longer depend on the old self nature.  As you explore the website Travis and Matthew’s prayer is that you come to understand how Christ has truly set us free through our union with him in his death, burial, and resurrection.
